Holyrood Quartet
The Holyrood String Quartet came into being at the invitation of the Scottish Government, to perform at the magnificent ceremony which is the Kirking of the Scottish Parliament. This televised event, in the presence of HRH The Prince of Wales and many other dignitaries, was held in the historic St Giles Cathedral on the Royal Mile of Edinburgh. Since then, the Holyrood Quartet has contributed to countless concerts, weddings, business functions and recordings throughout the UK. Its aim is to delight in providing a total package of
top-class performance and knowledgeable advice to all clients, whatever their musical needs.
Martyn Rapley – Professional Singer/Guitarist
Martyn has been playing guitar for 21 years and has 16 years teaching experience. He has been singing and performing as a solo act for 9 years. He has also worked in many different bands. In 2002 Martyn moved to Scotland from Southern England, where he had a very successful business. He is now playing venues, private functions, parties, weddings etc throughout the UK and continues to teach in Glasgow.
